Follow the video tutorial at the following link to do the Represent exercise following the guidelines below. Pay attention to the reference image to avoid common mistakes.
- Open your SAMPLE 3d model (already remeshed and smoothened in meshmixer) in Rhino
- Contour the object with a proper distance between the cutting planes
- Create a “MeshOutline” using the relative command
- Make 2D projection of the contours: 3 orthogonal views, 1 perspective view (orthogonal
- views needs contours perpendicular to the view itself).
- Correct the 2D drawing for any eventual mistake or excess curves (using the trim, or
- extension commands)
- Add the dimensions in rhino on the projections
- Post-process the drawings in Illustrator to fit a horizontal A3 page with the correct lineweights.
