Follow the Breeding tutorial found in the tutorials folder clicking on this link. The tutorial covers the steps below.
- Explore Photoshop actions and batch processing to generate new combinations.
- Define 5 different flowcharts (Photoshop actions) that are combining 2 pictures together and using different mutation techniques taught in class like filters, tile, and symmetry.
- Use each of the 5 flowcharts to combine each of the 5 images from the Mutation exercise with 2 other Mutation images either from your collection or taken from your colleagues, resulting with 50 images in total. The batch processing tool in photoshop will automate and facilitate this process.
- Organize the images that you have created: Create 5 folders (one for every action). named according to the main action: “Breeding-action”. In Each folder create two other folders each containing the Mutation taken from your collection or from the collection of your colleague and the 5 resulting outcomes. Remember to put in each of the 5 action folders your flowchart diagram represented in a way of your choosing. You can also refer to the diagram below for better understanding of the exercise as well as a diagram style you can use
- Select 5 pictures from the offspring and post.
